See COM:FOP#Kazakhstan. en:Bayterek seems to state that the monument is from 1997. COM:CUR#Kazakhstan tells that money from Kazakhstan is fine, but I'm not sure if this also applies to banknotes with pictures of copyrighted monuments.

Money are free as {{PD-KZ-exempt}}.--Anatoliy (talk) 12:21, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but depictions of monuments are non-free. There is a conflict here, and I'm not sure whether the banknotes are free because of the currency rule, or whether they are non-free because of the FOP rule. --Stefan4 (talk) 12:33, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
So, you want say that Kazakhstan National Bank abuse Kazakh copyright laws when print money, won't you?--Anatoliy (talk) 12:35, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know, so I've asked at COM:VPC#COM:FOP#Kazakhstan vs. COM:CUR#Kazakhstan conflict. --Stefan4 (talk) 12:44, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
How can you stand to remove the image if you are not confident in their statements and their legal status? Moreover, the image data in accordance with Kazakhstan legislation can not raprostranyatsya copyright, as, in principle, to point to the appropriate licenses. Or photos taken on their own, the participants of the project. It has been repeatedly discussed what buildings and facilities, state-owned, can not be treated as objects of copyright, since they belong to the state, and the authors (architects) for it have already received your ganorar. -Kei (talk) 12:42, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am afraid that - if I understand the Kazahk copyright law well - all images containing new architecture in Kazakhstan have to be deleted - at least all I did from Astana. I am not strong in copyright law so I will rely on people with more opinion. --Jirka Dl (talk) 14:39, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh My Good! Why again!!?? What a stupid deletion request --Zebra848 (talk) 17:36, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Keep:If anybody is "not strong in Kazakhstan copyright law" he must keep his opinion inside of himself to avoid any influence on the presence of the banknotes issued by the National Bank of Kazakhstan here in the Commons - I am sure the lawyers of the National Bank of Kazakhstan are more and more involved into the Kazakhstan copyright law. --Ds02006 (talk) 01:20, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: Kazakhstan law tells that money is free, meaning all money, not just those that don't have possibly copyrighted subject printed. SERGIO (aka the Blackcat) 16:36, 2 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Reopening: User:Blackcat only talked about money, but many of the images in the deletion request are photographies. --Stefan4 (talk) 17:32, 2 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes right, my distraction. I meant to keep only banknotes, but I was distracted by something else and forgot to delete the panorama photos. -- SERGIO (aka the Blackcat) 00:57, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

These photos show a recent monument in Kazahstan. In most countries, all paintings, sculpture, architecture, text, and other creative works have copyrights which last for 70 years after the death of the creator. An image of a work that is still under copyright is a derivative work, and infringes on the copyright so that we cannot usually keep the image on Commons. In some countries, there is a special exception to the copyright law which allows such images under certain circumstances. We call that exception freedom of panorama (FOP). Unfortunately there is no applicable FOP exception in this case.
